M&A Business Management, Analyst

Business Management optimizes business performances by helping to drive key initiatives. We act as trusted advisors and counterweight to Business/Group Heads and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business.

As an analyst in Business Management you would be expected to:

  • Strategic Analytics and Business Initiatives: Drive critical analytics to provide insights for management decision-making, partner with other supporting functions to lead and support strategic business projects in order to achieve business goals, market share, wallet growth, and market/thought leadership.
  • Planning and Reporting: Provide timely and accurate financial forecasting, competitor and market analysis, and data analytics, automation, and reporting.
  • Automation, Analytics, and Data Insights: Drive efficiency and identify strategic growth areas while providing market insights.
  • Financial Budgeting, Forecast, and Pipeline Management: Support all aspects of financial management including annual budgets, quarterly/monthly forecasts, revenue reconciliation, pipeline oversight and projections, and expense management.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market stats, trends, competition, and areas of opportunity.
  • People Management: Manage the people agenda including headcount planning, optimizing organizational structure, evaluation processes, productivity reporting, group meetings, and communications.
  • Business Support: Support the executive leadership team with internal presentations and business reviews, (e.g., regulatory workstreams, technology workstreams, strategic analyses).
  • Ad Hoc Reporting/Analysis and Projects: Conduct ad hoc reporting, analysis, and manage special projects as needed.
  • Collaboration: Partner with numerous other US and global support areas including Product Controllers, Compliance, Legal, Tax, Audit, Events, Marketing, Expense Management, Risk, Conflicts, and HR.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • We are seeking an academically accomplished candidate who is resourceful with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong analytical background to perform analysis of fee/pipeline and league table data.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and processes and work in a fast-paced environment under pressure with tight timeframes
  • High level of motivation and ability to push projects forward independently after receiving specific direction
  • Relentless work ethic, integrity, high energy level, team player and strong desire to learn
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver work product of a very high standard
  • Microsoft Office experience including Excel, PowerPoint and Word required
  • Experience with Data Analysis and Visualization a plus.
