Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute JPM Payments' global corporate development and commercial partnerships strategy in alignment with business objectives and market trends.
  • Collaboration: Work with Payments business leaders to identify third-party solutions that address product or technology gaps.
  • Governance: Develop robust governance and processes for managing commercial partnership pipelines and making investment decisions.
  • Deal Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets and strategic investment opportunities.
  • Financial Analysis & Valuation: Lead financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence efforts for potential transactions.
  • Transaction Execution: Drive the transaction lifecycle, including structuring deals and overseeing post-deal execution.
  • Partner Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with portfolio companies and key commercial partners.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing corporate development and partnerships team.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and risk frameworks.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting the financial services sector.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate with regional and product leads to ensure alignment in investment and partnership strategies.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Extensive experience in startup engagement and investment, with a strong understanding of the early-stage startup investment landscape.
  • Solid background in corporate finance, advisory services, financial/valuation analysis, or investment banking.
  • Successful track record of developing commercial partnerships to accelerate product strategy.
  • Knowledge of global payments and transaction banking technology is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in interacting with and advising senior management and board-level executives.
  • Ability to establish credibility across various business sectors and cultivate meaningful relationships.
  • Strong consultative problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness and ability to prioritize the firm's capital and expenses in alignment with market conditions.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a relentless work ethic.
  • Client-focused team player with attention to detail and professionalism.
  • Willingness to travel globally.
  • Bachelor's degree with extensive professional experience.
