Job responsibilities
- Support category management deliverables including analysis, supplier management, commercials, contract management, and compliance.
- Develop working relationships with senior executives in technology sourcing and other lines of business.
- Ensure 3rd Party vendor relationships and channel compliance align with Global Supplier Services strategic priorities.
- Lead the development and execution of strategies for significant sourcing transactions.
- Identify qualified candidate suppliers capable of meeting JPMorgan Chase requirements.
- Conduct in-depth supplier due diligence as required, ensure selected vendors comply with Service Level Agreement through collaboration with internal partners and client teams.
- Design and execute competitive processes for sourcing transactions to obtain value-added solutions.
- Evaluate competitive offerings from suppliers to present sourcing options that meet JPMorgan Chase business requirements.
- Lead negotiations to establish commercial terms and manage the contract development process.
- Maintain compliance with all policy and procedural guidelines, conduct in-depth cost and spend analysis to develop target savings initiatives.
- Partner with global teams and clients on local, regional, and global sourcing projects, collaborate with internal JPMorgan Chase legal, risk, third-party oversight, and finance teams.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Extensive technology sourcing experience with global and regional third-party providers.
- Strong sourcing, contracting, and procurement knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and good judgment.
- Ability to multitask and complete assignments within defined deadlines, ability to work with all levels of management across regions.
- Strong knowledge of Purchase Order administration and contracting practices.
- Extensive client management skills and strong relationship management skills.
- Strong financial analysis skills and good people management skills.
- Familiarity with RPA tools and technologies.
- Proven track record of strategic thinking in sourcing or vendor management roles.
- Project management experience in complex initiatives.
- Strong understanding of legal contracts, including service level agreements.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Degree-level education with 4-5 years of experience managing third-party providers.
- Experience in managing commodity or spend category spend is advantageous.
- Working experience in the Banking & Financial Services industry preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and Ariba.
- Knowledge of IT systems and financial systems is advantageous.
