Global Banking Transaction Development Analyst

Job Responsibilities

The Global Banking Transaction Develop team works directly with JPMorgan's Financial Sponsor Coverage teams that cover Private Equity firms and Family Offices across the globe. Your role will involve working across JPMorgan to help position the firm to win business with financial sponsors. You will triage a large volume of fast paced, highly visible leveraged debt transactions which have significant impact to the business.

  • Work closely with the Front Office Deal Team members to follow up on sponsor inbounds, manage deal pipelines, report deal statuses and identify opportunities
  • Determine deal staffing strategy by maintaining a record of all financing inbound traffic while effectively communicating with various stakeholders
  • Prepare impactful presentations to analyze past transactions to generate business insights and uncover opportunities to drive business growth
  • Identify and review announced transactions and pull together weekly reports to inform bankers of market activity
  • Create and send market updates to impacted banking coverage teams and sponsor client executives
  • Monitor deal risk controls to ensure compliance requirements are achieved in a timely manner
  • Follow-up with deal teams on key milestones; efficiently manage and interact with senior stakeholders
  • Participate in global process enhancements

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects, deliverables, and deadlines
  • Underwriting or credit product knowledge is a plus
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Analytical skills to assess large data sets to develop reporting and to identify key industry trends and insights
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and with an ability to inspire those around them
  • Independent, comfortable dealing with uncertainty, and self-motivated with an ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical bend of mind and expert handling of MS Excel, Word, PPT
  • Innate desire to learn and develop
  • Solutions-oriented with strong ability to analyze opportunities & problems, recommend solutions, and communicate effectively & confidently (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to soundly execute quantitative and qualitative analysis and draw salient conclusions
  • Strong interactive personal skills and ability to influence others for positive results
