Entrusted with significant autonomy and discretion, define the standard of quality and oversee service delivery within the User Experience Design group. Your deep expertise in experience design will be instrumental in shaping long-term organizational strategies, fundamentally enhancing customer experiences.

CDAO is the driving force behind our firm's cutting edge AI products and services. As a lead in our CDAO Platforms Design team, you will lead the charge in shaping the user experience for our cutting-edge Data & AI products. Your expertise in AI technologies and user-centered design principles will be instrumental in driving innovation and ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards of usability and effectiveness.

Job responsibilities

  • Direct complex, end-to-end design projects within or across domains, craft service flow diagrams and product features, wireframes, and interactive prototypes


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to infuse user experience design principles into product development processes and ensure cohesive and inclusive experiences


  • Lead a talented team responsible for the product design of data management & AI enablement products firmwide. Develop a talent strategy and develop the team in order to address the increasing demands of AI


  • Drive user research and testing initiatives to gather insights and validate design concepts


  • Develop and implement user experience strategies in line with business objectives and apply your expertise in interaction design and information architecture
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of experience designers, fostering collaboration, and promoting professional development through coaching and performance management
  • Drive innovation by staying abreast of industry trends, accessibility standards, and emerging technologies to maintain our competitive edge and user-centric approach
  • Design methods to incorporate insights gained from key performance metrics, utilizing data fluency to inform decision-making and optimize user experiences for diverse customer segments. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and influence decisions and champion user-centered design principles organization-wide
  • Ensure product adoption across AI/ML development and Data Management.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in user experience design, focusing on interaction design and information architecture
  • Advanced skills in visual design, storyboarding, and data fluency, capable of creating visually appealing and functional visual elements for digital products and services
  • Proven experience in delivering successful AI and data products (or similar entreprise products) to drive growth, deliver operational efficiency and reduce risk
  • Proven leadership in guiding and mentoring diverse teams of experience designers, fostering collaboration and promoting professional growth
  • Demonstrated success in inclusive design, accessibility guidelines, and assistive technology, to create inclusive experiences for diverse users
  • Proven understanding of market trends, product knowledge, and technological advancements with the ability to leverage emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive user experience outcome

  • Comfort with ambiguity and change, an ability to learn technologies and patterns quickly and articulate complex concepts simply and succinctly.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Expert technical knowledge, with an advanced understanding of the impact of client-side technologies, APIs, and the technology stack on user experience
  • Knowledg or experience with AI/ML and/or data management systems
  • A desire to teach others and share knowledge, coaching other team members on design principles, practices, and implementation patterns for data and AI experiences.
  • An ability to quickly identify and scale design patterns and practices that accelerate delivery, increase value and scale impact
  • Current, or previous presence as an active individual in the design community, sharing thought-leadership and design acumen through the likes of conferences, blogs, socials, or podcasts
  • Comfort working with a geographically distributed team
  • Understanding of Graph Databases (Neo4j) and data modeling.
