As the Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank Global Securitized Products group, you will be at the forefront of technological innovation and leadership. You will spearhead a dynamic technical area, driving transformative impact across teams, technologies, and projects that span multiple departments. Your expertise in software, applications, technical processes, and product management will be pivotal in steering complex projects and initiatives to success. As a key decision-maker, you will champion innovation, modernization, optimization, and solution delivery, setting the standard for excellence. In your role as the Platform Lead for Securitized Products' pricing and analytics, you will oversee a cutting-edge, highly distributed, high-performance compute engine. This strategic platform is integral to JPMorgan's valuation, forecasting, risk management, and scenario analysis for securitized products and collateralized loans.
Job responsibilities
- Manages global agile teams to build, modernize, enhance, and support software solutions leveraged across multiple businesses and domains
- Makes decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
- Carries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations
- Drives engineering efforts in the public cloud, delivering eslastic and efficient solutions for complex business use-cases.
- Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams
- Champions the firm's culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of adapting verbiage and style to the audience at hand and delivering critical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Bachelor's /Master's degree in Computer science or other technical, scientific discipline
- Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
- Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager
- Experience with high-volume, mission-critical applications and their interdependencies with other applications and databases.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Expert knowledge of Java and/or Python
- Robust experience working with highly distributed systems
- Experience in AWS public cloud design and development
- Experience working in financial front office environments
