As a Product Director in our Chief Data & Analytics Office Product and Platform organisation, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. As a leader on the team, you leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data services, ensuring they are discoverable, accessible, and scalable to meet the demands of today and the next decade. Your mission will be to define and implement strategies that ensure our services are highly available and fault-tolerant, supporting the integral role of AI across all operations. This role offers an exciting challenge if you are eager to drive innovation and excellence in a dynamic environment. You will collaborate closely with our engineering team to establish and manage non-functional requirements, ensuring our platform meets ambitious goals.

Job responsibilities

  • Eliminates constraints on data growth by implementing solutions to support unlimited growth in data registration and access, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Develops and execute strategies to identify and eliminate single points of failure within the firmwide Data Mesh, enhancing system reliability.
  • Leads the design of data services that operate across multiple regions to enhance local performance, increase overall system resilience, and comply with local data residency requirements.
  • Oversees the lifecycle of services operating under cloud accounts, in collaboration with business technology teams, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
  • Ensures consistent handling of identity across all platform services, maintaining security and uniformity in identity management processes.
  • Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets.
  • Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth.
  • Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives.
  • Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation.
  • Focuses on optimizing service locations to meet data residency requirements and deliver exceptional user experiences with minimal latency.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Extensive experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development - establishing strategy and building roadmaps.
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions, exemplary stakeholder management and communication skills are essential.
  • Experience of working closely with Engineering teams and Data Scientists to communicate product requirements.
  • Technical background - in particular experience with cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of Identity management services
  • Ability to trade-off non-functional requirements vs ROI
  • Experienced with Business case development for investment
