In this role, you will be crafting and executing the strategic roadmap for the UI, Platform, and API, while spearheading collaboration with internal partners to enhance the contribution model for JPMC's Internal Developer Platform. By collaborating with a team of dedicated engineers, user experience leaders, and fellow product managers, you will shape the Integrated Engineers Portal (IDP) from the ground up.

As a Product Director in Engineer's Platform and Integrated Experience, you lead innovation through the development of products and features that delight customers. As a leader on the team, you leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross-functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs.

Job responsibilities

  • Oversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets
  • Leads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growth
  • Coaches and mentors the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind-mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectives
  • Owns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectives
  • Monitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiation
  • Drives the development process with a focus on partner needs and feedback to ensure the product meets user expectations and requirements
  • Develops and implements strategic plans for the UI, Platform, and API roadmap, ensuring alignment with JPMC's standards
  • Works closely with various internal partners to explore integration opportunities, with user experience, and other product managers, to ensure cohesive and integrated product development
  • Conducts product demonstrations with technical expertise, confidently navigate cross-cultural interactions, and challenge the status quo to drive innovation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications
  • Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics
  • Proven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
  • Experience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Proven experience in enterprise software development, UI technologies, platform, and API management
  • A deep understanding of data analytics and tools to inform decision-making and strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change within organizations and effectively manage stakeholders across multiple functions, ensuring alignment and collaboration
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage in meaningful dialogue to understand the problem space and articulate solutions clearly
  • Highly organized and meticulous in handling inbound requests, ensuring efficient prioritization and management of tasks

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Recognized thought leader within a related field
  • Past experience as a developer using modern SDLC tools and practices such as CI/CD, DevOps
