As a Compensation Associate, you will provide strategic solutions and expert advice to the business and HR business advisors; combining in-depth knowledge of compensation principles, understanding of the business needs, market and regulatory landscape, and associated detailed analysis/models. In this role, you will perform a variety of compensation activities, including providing guidance to line and HR management regarding compensation actions for employees, administering/coordinating annual compensation planning processes, and analyzing and reporting internal and external market compensation data.
Job responsibilities
- Supporting end-to-end annual compensation planning via analytics, modelling and reporting
- Working with teams across many different areas of HR and the business, offering a range of skillsets, leadership styles and opportunities to learn
- Understanding business priorities and effectively diagnosing issues; providing clear advice and recommendations to help partners make informed and sound comp-related decisions
- Simplifying and improving the way we do things with fresh ideas, strategy, design iteration and implementation to ensure our compensation programs, policies and processes align with business strategy, best practice and our risk and controls framework
- Advising on compensation related activities, including new hire offers, promotions, transfers, budget allocation/forecasting and top talent retention
- Participating in firmwide projects involving compensation, including policy reviews, changes in compensation practices, and systems development
- Being part of a global team representing diversity of thought, experience and backgrounds who are friendly, committed, hard-working and growth oriented

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and cultivate strong partnerships
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to convey a story through analysis and metrics
- Sound judgment and decision making
- Relevant HR/Compensation or Finance experience, with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional systems skills; Advanced MS Excel and proficiency with other Microsoft applications required. Business Objects preferred.
- Proven consulting and influencing skills; ability to drive business goals through HR / Compensation strategies in an innovative and creative way
- Ability to execute and sustain operational excellence
