Job Description

KYC Quality control is a process that is independent from the sales/relationship management channel and assists the LOB/Customer KYC Owner in ensuring their KYC records meet the requirements of the firm's policies, standards, and guidelines, and the LOB-specific KYC procedures.

As part of the Quality Control team, the core functional responsibilities and expectations include, but are not limited to, as followings:

  • Understanding the firm's KYC requirements when reviewing documentation inclusive of Customer Identification Program (CIP), Standard Due Diligence (SDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Local Due Diligence (LDD), Specialized Due Diligence (SpDD) and Product Due Diligence requirements (PDD)
  • Reviewing KYC information and documentation for new customers, periodic reviews and ad hoc activities
  • Ensuring consistency among and within the various KYC documents
  • Verifying the accuracy of information provided, including confirming that information and documents are current and unexpired, as applicable
  • Identifying and assessing red flags and any other potentially concerning information and evaluating the appropriateness of the assigned AML risk rating.
  • Ensuring the review task is completed before the due date and within SLA requirement
  • Communicating/escalating issues to management when applicable
  • Being part of the holistic client review team to follow up on outstanding alignment items within various LOBs and/or GFCC to close loop on the alignment
  • Being flexible to work on other migration/remediation projects including Screening resolution, other LOB holistic alignment or Quality Assurance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or above
  • Fluent English is mandatory, both written and verbally
  • Proficient PC skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Relentless and versatile learner with an aptitude for assimilating new industry, company, product or technical knowledge
  • Highly organized, proactive and motivated with strong prioritization skills, innovation and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated, consistent professional presence with the ability to adapt to evolving needs and situations
  • Sense of urgency/ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to accept new assignments and challenges in a rapidly changing environment, as well as handling multiple tasks and changing priorities on a daily basis
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the Financial Services industry with a demonstrated track-record of delivery and/or relevant experience in Compliance and KYC
  • Ability to identify risks and issues and successfully navigate through to completion
  • Self-reliance and willingness to \"own\" problems and creatively find solutions
  • Ability to multi-task in a constantly changing, global, virtual team environment.
  • Comfortable liaising with onshore teams and other remote Team members
  • Able to critically challenge with the goal of identifying control issues and process improvement opportunities.
  • Flexible and willing to stretch.
