Control Management (CM) maintains a strong and consistent control environment across the firm. With Control Managers appointed for each Line of Business, Function and Region, there is a comprehensive coverage and joint accountability model with the business executive that promotes early operational risk identification and assessment, effective design and evaluation of controls and sustainable solutions to mitigate operational risk. The role will be the lead for CIB New Product initiatives Lead.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our dynamic team as the Vice President, CIB New Product Initiatives Lead, covering the NBIA and PSCM Frameworks within CIB Controls. This role involves oversight of controls and framework strategies for the governance of new or modified product and service initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across all businesses and functions of the CIB to ensure alignment with organizational strategies, while ensuring that our products and services are developed, deployed, and maintained in a manner that is ethical, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.
As a Framework Lead, you'll be responsible for leading and building out an enhanced control framework that supports a continuous and integrated approach to risk assessment for new or modified products and services. Additionally, you will ensure the team assists in the successful launch of the latest offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Governance and Framework Development:
- Develop and implement governance frameworks and controls for new or modified products and services within NBIA and PSCM frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the new NPA framework, integrating existing frameworks into a unified governance model.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to align governance and framework strategies with organizational objectives.
- Control and Risk Management:
- Provide leadership support for the end-to-end execution of the Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE), including addressing control deficiencies and resolutions related to NBIA and PSCM initiatives, to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk.
- Establish and maintain documentation and reporting mechanisms for framework governance and controls.
- Monitor and assess the performance and impact of new or modified products and services, identifying and mitigating risks associated with their deployment.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Lead the team focused on Data Analysis, Reporting and Automation
- Review and analyze program-related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) to proactively identify existing and emerging operational risks and issues to support business-related programs and strategies.
- Enhance reporting mechanisms to deliver meaningful and valuable metrics
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Serve as the People Lead for the NBIA/PSCM team in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
- Manage and motivate a small local team as part of our global footprint, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
- Provide ongoing feedback and training, and develop employees on risk concepts and their application to risk and control evaluation. Provide guidance and training to team members on NBIA governance best practices and framework usage.
- Strategic Change and Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of frameworks within the CIB Controls organization.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the new product/service change experience in terms of process, governance, reporting, training, and technology.
- Collaborate with the Firmwide and Cross-LOB working groups to design and implement improvements
Qualifications:
- Experience and Skills:
- 6-8 years of professional work experience, ideally with an understanding of products and markets in which the CIB operates.
- Highly motivated individual with advanced skills in strategy, problem-solving, transformation, and delivery execution, as well as strong influencing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Project and process management skills, including proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven experience in governance, controls, and frameworks for new or modified products and services, with a strong understanding of related technologies and frameworks.
- Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical and Regulatory Knowledge:
- Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate the operational risk and control environment in conjunction with business partners.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and ethical considerations related to new or modified products and services.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications in product management, compliance or risk management, or related fields.
- Experience in a leadership or managerial role.
