Job Summary
As a Controls Manager within commercial and investment banking (CIB), you will oversee governance and control programs within CIB with a focus on ensuring a robust risk and control framework. You will support Anti-Money Laundry (AML) governance forums and committees, provide governance and control over APAC counties on Anti Bribery & Corruption (ABC) governance framework following the firmwide standards and procedures. You will develop and enhance governance policies, prepare reports for oversight forums, and collaborate with APAC Controls and Business Management teams to ensure a strong control environment. Managing control aspects of regulatory inquiries and exams, and overseeing the Risk Control Self-Assessment Program. Your work will be crucial in identifying, assessing, and mitigating business risks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support AML governance forums and committees across CIB and its sub-LOBs.
  • Develop and enhance AML and ABC governance, including policies and procedures, process enhancements and maintaining infrastructure for governance reports.
  • Prepare reports for governance and oversight forums.
  • Collaborate with APAC Controls and Business Management teams.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate business risks.
  • Interact with other control functions and escalate issues as needed.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience in Risk, Oversight and Controls, Regulatory Change, or Compliance.
  • Knowledge/experience of key financial services businesses Problem-solving and analysis skills.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements to the business model.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to work independently and present concise communications.
  • Strong presentation skills.
