SUMMARY

A failure analysis engineer is responsible for analyzing and determining the root cause of product or equipment failures. They work closely with various departments, including engineering, quality assurance, and production teams, to evaluate failures and ensure that corrective actions are implemented.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Conducting failure analysis investigations on electronic components, identifying root causes, and providing technical recommendations for resolution.

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data, develop test strategies, and conduct experiments to determine failure mechanisms.

• Preparing detailed reports and documentation of failure analysis findings, including test procedures, results, and proposed corrective actions.

• Assisting senior engineers in designing and implementing preventive measures and product improvements based on failure analysis results.

• Utilize various analytical techniques and tools to facilitate thorough investigations

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering field

• Experience working in Electronics manufacturing process, especially PCBA manufacturing process.

• Familiar with PCBAs and electronics components.

• Understanding of basic failure analysis methodologies and techniques

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Experience with laboratory failure analysis methods such as cross-section, dye and pry, IV curve, FTIR...
