About This Role

iRhythm is currently seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager (Software) within the Research & Development - Systems Development team. You will have the opportunity to drive the delivery of medical device software projects to domestic and international markets. You will be exposed to a diverse set of projects involving software development and testing in the context of addressing unmet clinical needs. In addition, you will build a deep understanding of our end-to-end systems, helping to drive successful delivery of software projects throughout the development life cycle.

Specific job responsibilities include:

Software Project Planning

  • Collaborate closely with product management, engineering leaders , quality and regulatory assurance to understand and distill business priorities to develop software project scope for unmet clinical needs and launch new products
  • Drives software project planning, WBS, estimation, resources, scheduling, timelines, “what-ifs”, risks and re-planning as required
  • Create and maintain the technical software project release plan as it pertains to design control process

Software Project Execution

  • Go-to-person from project initiation to finish and beyond
  • Successful project execution and launch with a mix of people skills, project management, technical expertise and cross functional collaboration with CRM, Manufacturing, Marketing, Customer Support, and Clinical Operations
  • Act as a scrum master for sprint grooming, planning, estimation, execution and retrospectives
  • Lead and drive stand-ups, recurring project meetings to track progress, timelines, project health and risks
  • Facilitate and participate in technical discussions within software and cross-functional teams
  • Act as a core team member to coordinate efforts for business readiness for software deployment and product launch
  • Own project risk register and hold regular discussions on risk management activities.
  • If necessary, author project documentation and assist with system testing
  • Work closely with QA/RA to ensure activities performed in compliance with Company SOPs/International Regulatory standards.

Operational

  • In conjunction with technical project management team own health of projects undertaken and drive continuous improvement of processes 
  • Drive best practices on the team, deal with ambiguity and competing objectives
  • Participate in production release/health monitoring activities.
  • Willing to travel up to 10%.

About you:

  • 4+ years of project management/systems engineer experience delivering software products to market
  • Effective presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates initiative; results oriented; strong sense of urgency.
  • Past experience working on projects utilizing SCRUM.
  • BA/BS in science or technical field.

Preferred:

  • Masters in science or technical field is a plus
  • Experience in the medical software/device industry is a plus
  • Experience with IEC standards 62304, 14971, 62366.
  • Experience with Tools desired – Jira, Product roadmap (Aha!), Project portfolio Management, Requirements management (JAMA)
  • Proficiency in AWS/Linux/Unix/Windows environment.

Estimated Pay Range
$147,900$180,000 USD
