Responsibilities

Role Description

  • FINASTRA Technical Project Manager (TPM) has a well-rounded technical background and has experience leading engineering teams in a matrix environment.
  • TPM has full ownership to ship great product and specific customer customizations with full accountability for scope, budget, timeline, and quality.
  • TPM is not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic programs, but can also roll up his/her sleeves, dig in, eliminate obstacles to get the job done.
  • TPM will anticipate bottlenecks and risks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
  • TPM is able to take complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner.
  • Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence teams in matrix organizational structure, and analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.
  • This role sits in the critical intersection of product engineering, product management, and LOB.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Technical Project Management experience.
  • Problem-solving skills and the abilities to analyze quantitatively, scope technical requirements and effectively prioritize program deliverables.
  • Presentation and written communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build partnerships with senior leaders across a variety of groups throughout FINASTRA.
  • Experienced with tools like MS-Project/JIRA/Confluences and other project management tools.
  • Should be able to manage the RAID logs and Project heath statuses to management.
  • Must have exposure to any of the Payment product and regulatory experiences like SWIFT/SEPA.
  • Experience with agile or similar program management methodologies.
  • Experience as both a developer and/or QA and project manager.
  • Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units.
  • Experience working with remote teams and external partners.
  • Candidate must have clear sense of balance between the roles of project manager and technical advisor.
  • He/She should have the ability to communicate effectively in both technical and non-technical terms.
