Position Overview

As the Corporate Controller, you will report to the CFO and spearhead the management and oversight of InvoiceCloud’s financial accounting operations, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and effective leadership of our accounting organization.  This role is responsible for driving efficiencies and improvements within our processes and systems, providing support on strategic initiatives, and leading our month end close processes.  This position demands a seasoned leader with deep expertise in accounting practices, a knack for strategic thinking and problem solving and exceptional communication skills to engage effectively across all organizational levels. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership of our accounting, revenue operations, treasury, tax and internal control activities.
  • Develop and support best-in-class financial systems and processes to drive timely and impactful financial insights.
  • Drive timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes, including consolidation and all associated activities.
  • Stay abreast of relevant technical accounting topics ensuring consistent implementation of corporate accounting principles and procedures in full compliance with US GAAP.
  • Work closely with internal accounting and compliance teams to ensure adherence to internal controls and policies
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable taxes (especially sales tax) and work with external service providers to complete income tax filings.
  • Manage annual audit and act as primary liaison to the external auditors and other external service providers.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional peers to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential challenges.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing accounting team.

What We Seek

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Extensive experience (typically 12+ years) in progressively responsible financial leadership roles, with a focus on accounting.
  • Prior Big 4 or public accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with NetSuite and advanced proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced team environment, manage competing priorities, and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Experience setting up and supporting international operations.
  • SaaS and/or Payments experience is highly valued.

First 60 Days

  • Assess existing accounting team and begin recruiting for open roles.
  • Gain an understanding of the Company’s accounting processes, systems, month-end / quarter-end timelines, and business practices.
  • Gain familiarity with our ERP and other supporting systems and become comfortable with day-to-day functionality (booking journals, navigating GL, reporting, etc.).
  • Gain familiarity with the Company’s various revenue streams to understand quote to cash processes as well as technical accounting aspects of revenue recognition.
  • Begin to develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the InvoiceCloud organization and business including auditors, third party service providers, debt holders and members of the board.

Base Compensation Range: ($230,000.00 to $250,000.00) annually

Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.

The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider many factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
