Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

The EU Senior Market Research Analyst is a critical role in support of Market Intelligence activities in the EU and Global Distribution markets. This individual will be a primary contact for Marketing, Commercial, and Finance leaders and managers - and must reflect the qualifications below in a way that allows them to be successful with senior internal stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Support the Evaluation of market opportunity and risks for Global Distribution markets:

 

  • Gather insights on the market (economics, market size, risks indicators)
  • Build presentations summarizing opportunities and risks at country and region level
  • Contribute to calculating MRs (Minimum Requirements expected from the distributor) for submission
  • Contribute to the update of the country prioritization matrix for presentation to commercial/financial executives

Primary Market Research (PMR) projects:

Lead/support studies executed by third party research partners:

  • Lead discussions with internal stakeholders to understand and document the business objectives
  • Develop or assist in the development of the research instrument (moderator guide, questionnaire)
  • Work closely with vendors ensuring the successful execution of the fieldwork
  • Upon completion, review the collected data, review reports and correct/revise/enhance as appropriate

Manage direct Primary Market Research (PMR) in coordination with surgical societies or other customers

  • Lead discussions with internal stakeholders to understand and document the business objectives
  • Develop or assist in the development of the research instrument (moderator guide, questionnaire)
  • Upon completion, review the collected data, write report

Hospital analytics:

  • Collect hospital data
  • Map the data: align external hospital names and code and internal format
  • Consolidate hospital level data across geographies; ensure consistency about fields and procedure definitions

Regional Competitive intelligence support:

  • Analyze the information gathered in the internal “post tender” awards surveys
  • Load and analyze the data at account level for competitor installations

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Health Science, Engineering or Data Science
  • 3-4 years of market research/analytical experience
  • Experience in medical/healthcare/hospital market
  • Quantitative reasoning/application skills and ability to critically think through complexity
  • Ability to discern strategic insights from data analysis
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, models building, advanced formulas)
  • Ability to leverage PowerPoint to artfully craft a cohesive and impactful narrative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German, including the ability to interact with senior leadership
  • Ability to support and prioritize multiple projects concurrently
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced organization
  • Office based in Freiburg – but can be localized in a radius of 90 minutes travel time by car (France, Switzerland and/or Germany.) Should be able to be in the Freiberg office 2-3 days per week, or as desired by Intuitive in the future.
