XPE is responsible for delivering industry-leading GPU (3D, Media, Compute, and Display) hardware, intellectual property (IP) blocks and system-on-chip (SoC) products for discrete graphics and throughput computing. We strive to lead the industry through continuous innovation and world-class engineering. We are looking for a Post-Silicon Platform/Power Management Architect to join our team.

In this position you will help us with the following responsibilities:

  • Technical and hands-on experience on power management verification for Client graphics post-Silicon feature validation.
  • Deep understanding of HW/SW and FW flows for both client and datacenter at platform and Silicon level.
  • Working through various teams at the silicon SoC level up through BIOS, system firmware, and OS levels.
  • Responsible for test plan development, execution, and path clearing problems for a cross geography team.
  • Drive root-cause analysis for power management features including developing tools, infrastructure around power management areas.
  • Familiarity with PSS platforms and emulation to drive decomposition reviews for power management flows.

Qualifications

You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Bachelors in Electronics/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any STEM related field with overall 9+ years of industry experience or a master's degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any STEM related field with 6+ years of industry experience.

5+ years of experience in the 3 or more of the following:

  • Computer Architecture Knowledge & Microarchitecture Fundamentals
  • Power Management Architecture
  • Reset/Power Management for Silicon Validation
  • Architecture/Feature Definition
  • Front End SoC Connectivity/Build
  • Post-silicon Validation & Debugging
  • IP Test Writing and Test Plans
  • Test Planning/Technical Documentation
  • Software programming in C/C++ and scripting (such as PythonSV)

Preferred skills and experience that will make you stand out.

  • GPU Architecture Fundamentals, Validation and Debug
  • System Verilog, IP Validation tools and methodologies
  • Validation Protocols & Strategy Development
  • Power and Performance Validation and Debug
  • Emulation Fundamentals
  • Experience and hands on skills with LTB, ITP, Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Scan dumps, and in-circuit Emulators

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $141,673.00-$241,005.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
