Overview

Insight Global is an international professional services and staffing company specializing in delivering talent and technical solutions to Fortune 1000 companies across the IT, Non-IT, Healthcare, and Engineering industries. The Proposal Specialist is responsible for overseeing the development of proposals to ensure they are compelling, compliant, and well-written. The Proposal Specialist works closely with various teams within the organization, including sales, marketing, and technical teams, to develop and deliver proposals that effectively communicate the organization's capabilities and value proposition to potential and current clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pursuit teams using proposal process expertise on kickoff calls to develop winning strategies, assign team responsibilities, and establish deadlines. (i.e., "own" the process)
  • Responsible for understanding the requirements of the Request for Proposal (RFP), setting and managing proposal deadlines, and ensuring all guidelines and requirements are met.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of proposals.
  • Drive the proposal strategy to align with client requirements and business objectives.
  • Ensure all submissions are professionally developed, meet compliance standards, and effectively position the organization for success in securing new or retaining business opportunities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, SMEs, and leadership, to gather necessary information and documentation to ensure cohesive, accurate proposals
  • Work effectively in high-pressure situations and hold all contributors accountable to meeting tight deadlines.
  • Write and edit proposal content, ensuring it is persuasive, accurate, and well-structured.
  • Utilize AP Writing Style Guidelines.
  • Involved in the refinement of the proposal process and templates for future bids, and often analyze previous proposals, successes, and failures to improve future proposals.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven work experience as a Proposal Manager or similar role.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Pro and SharePoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple proposals at a time.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work within stringent deadlines.
  • Flexibility to both work autonomously and collaboratively as a part of a team
  • Experience with bid management software (e.g., Responsive, Loopio, Qvidian).

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

  • Proposal Management Certification (e.g. APMP)
  • Shipley's designation or knowledge of process and standards
  • Federal Government proposal experience (FAR and DFAR regulations)
