Senior Java Developer
Infosys is seeking a Senior Java Engineer. This position's primary responsibility will be to translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks. The chosen candidate will apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, gather accurate requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize tasks and the scope of development. The role will require strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment while contributing towards developing and adhering to best-practices for developing applications that are scalable, relevant, and critical to the project.
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Austin, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
- Experience in development/design projects using Java, J2EE, Oracle, MongoDB, JavaScript, Spring, RESTful web services and microservices
- Experience using cloud services to build an integrated application in production (AWS - EC2, ECS, API gateway, Lambda, AWS Glue)
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience with designing and tuning relational databases and non-relational databases
- Capable of contributing to the technical design for development projects by reviewing and understanding the high-level functional specifications
- At least 5 years of experience in user requirement, develop specifications, design, review code and implement systems in line with Group standards and regulatory requirements in order to meet user (business) requirements
- High level knowledge on CI/CD
- Experience with translating business use cases to technical solutions, user interface design and database structures.
- Passionate about learning new technologies and enjoy a collaborative team environment
- Ability to independently plan, define and develop proof of concepts
- Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and Ability to drive client meetings
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies
- Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
