Python Technology Lead

In the role of Python Technology Lead, you will be a technology professional adding value to a gamut of Software Development lifecycle stages. You will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; provide technology consultation; reverse engineer the application code; debug logs and code to find root cause; assist in defining scope and sizing of work; anchor Proof of Concept developments; create detailed design artifacts like program specifications, test plans; and independently develop and review code and contribute to the go-live plan. Required Qualifications:
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or Tampa, FL or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 4 years of overall IT experience
• Develop and maintain Python tools, Django based API services for automating network configuration generation, monitoring and troubleshooting of network topologies.

• Integrate automation with network devices (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.) using APIs, SSH, and protocols like NETCONF, RESTCONF, and SNMP.
• Collaborate with network engineers to identify automation opportunities, generate Jinja templates for various configurations and implement solutions.
• Monitor and maintain automation pipelines and CI/CD workflows.
• Document automation processes, scripts, and network changes.
• Ensure security and compliance in all automation practices.
At least 5 years of experience Python development and
• Strong proficiency in Python, Django, Jinja with experience in network automation.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VXLAN, MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN, EVPN etc.).
• Experience with network automation frameworks (e.g., Netmiko, NAPALM, Nornir).
• Experience with device interfacing protocols like SNMP, NETCONF etc..
• Experience working with APIs (REST, SOAP) and data formats (JSON, YAML, XML).

Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding and experience with CISCO, Juniper device configurations and automations.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
