Infosys is seeing a Principal Consultant to lead Quality Engineering practice for a large Telecom client.
In the role of Principal Consultant, you will act as a domain consultant, validation and quality assurance expert and review the business functionality of existing systems. You will be pivotal to problem definition and discovery of the overall solution and guide teams on project processes, deliverables. As a thought leader in your domain, you will be the key advisor to architecture and design reviews. You will anchor business pursuit initiatives, client training, in-house capability building. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape. You will conduct requirement analysis, define test strategy & design and lead execution to guarantee superior outcomes. You will also be required to design an optimal test environment to simulate real-time scenarios. Qualifications Basic:
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• 11+ years in QA, Program Management & Testing, with 10+ years in client-facing Account Anchor of Program Manager roles
• Location for this position is Richardson, TX. This position may require 25-30% travel.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven experience managing large QA engagements in the Telecom domain.
• Strong understanding of OSS/BSS, E-commerce, network protocols, and telecom workflows.
• Expertise in test automation frameworks, CI/CD, and Agile/DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Experience working in a global delivery model (onsite-offshore).
• Certifications like ISTQB Advanced, SAFe Agilist, or PMP are a plus.
• Good thought leadership and collaboration.
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Ability to work with client business and IT teams and ensure testing delivery in good quality
• Agile software testing experience.
• Possess good Analytical skills
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the primary QA point of contact for the client at onsite.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships with CXOs, QA Heads, and Program Managers.
• Understand client business goals and align QA strategy accordingly.
• Lead QA delivery across multiple programs and teams (onsite/offshore) and Plan for AI Adoption at scale.
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and quality benchmarks.
• Drive test strategy, planning, execution, and reporting for complex telecom systems.
• Manage cross-functional QA teams (manual, automation, performance, security).
• Mentor and guide QA leads and managers.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and business teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Identify opportunities for QA transformation, automation, and innovation.
• Propose and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
• Support pre-sales, RFPs, and new business opportunities within the account.
• Conduct regular governance meetings with client and internal leadership.
• Provide executive-level dashboards, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and client-specific regulations.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
