Required Qualifications:
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Guadalajara, Mexico or be willing to relocate to the area.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

Expected Knowledge / Experience in IT Infrastructure / Networking (At least 4 Years)

  • Experience in:
    • Lifecycle Management, Large sites KTBR (Keep The Business Running) for respective domain environment (Lab, Office, Data Center & Manufacturing)
    • Network cabling with Copper/Fiber Optic cables & Testing/Cabling Standards
      • Fiber - Multimode, Single Mode, Connector Types - ST, SC, LC
      • Copper - Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Connector Types - RJ45, RJ11
    • Working with Cable testers
    • WiFi Hardware (Wireless LAN Controllers, Wireless Access Points)
  • Knowledge of Networking Protocols (OSI Model)
  • Knowledge of Core OS Services: ssh, telnet, ftp, nfs, dns, dhcp, samba
  • CCNA Certification is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of CISCO, ARISTA Network Switches and different kind of ports
  • Knowledge of handling a Ladder inside the Data Center, Network Rooms.
  • Movement of equipment using pallet jacks or other assisted lifting equipment.

  • Supporting & maintain Network environment by providing physical touch (Smart Hands) support for Incidents, Service requests, Change requests and Hardware Upgrades for an assigned site.
  • Racking, stacking, connecting and providing basic configuration support of Networking devices
  • Providing Incident/Incident task support and working with remote Level 3/4 teams to troubleshoot and fix issues including replacement of cables or hardware devices/components within SLA.
  • Understanding the Change Requests and working on the tasks associated with the same.
  • Understanding Service Request tasks and completing them within defined SLAs
  • Supporting deployment of Network infrastructure as per required standards
    • Racking & Stacking
    • Cable Management (Data & Power) with redundancy
    • Providing Console Access of network device to remote team
  • Installing, replacing, and troubleshooting Data & Power Cables and Network Hardware
  • Working on a ticket-based environment and update the ticket work notes in ServiceNow on daily basis.
  • Conducting & Supporting Audits of the respective Network Communication Rooms and updating details in ServiceNow/required tools/portal as per the scope of work
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks, stand or walk throughout an 8-hour shift, and lift or move up to 50 lbs. of equipment as needed
  • Movement of equipment using pallet jacks or other assisted lifting equipment.
  • To be available in office during On-Call on rotation basis during non-business hours (if required).
Support planned activities as and when required ( can also be during non-business hours or weekends).
