Role: - Lead Analyst - Knowledge Services (Project Manager/Scrum Master - Financial Services)
Location: - Sydney
Status - 1 Year fixed term, extendable based on project requirement
NOTE - Only applicants with Australia full work right, i.e., holding a valid visa will be considered for the role.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Project Manager / Scrum Master to lead complex IT migration projects within the Australian banking sector. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of remote work combined with in-office collaboration in Sydney. You will be responsible for driving project success through structured planning, agile delivery, and strong stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure successful delivery of IT migration initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior leadership, business units, IT teams, and third-party vendors to define project objectives, gather requirements, and provide regular updates.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks and issues early, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure timely resolution to keep projects on track.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: Ensure all project activities align with Australian banking regulations, industry standards, and internal governance frameworks.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Reporting & Communication: Deliver clear and concise project reports, highlighting progress, risks, and key milestones to senior stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Capture lessons learned and contribute to the enhancement of project delivery frameworks and methodologies.
Key Requirements
  • Experience: 6-7+ years as an IT Project Manager, with a strong focus on the Australian banking sector and end-to-end migration project delivery.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of financial services, banking operations, and regulatory environments in Australia.
  • Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe) are highly desirable.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in delivering complex, high-value IT projects, particularly those involving compliance, digital transformation, and operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Analytical Thinking: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business-friendly language.
  • Location: Based in Sydney and available for in-office collaboration as required.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Degree in Project Management, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or MS Project.
  • Background in IT infrastructure projects or systems migrations within the banking sector.
