Infosys is seeking a Data Center Lead. This position is responsible for providing on-site technical support and physical maintenance for data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, network devices. This role involves installing and configuring new hardware, performing regular maintenance, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues and managing cabling and inventory. This is a key role to ensure the smooth operations and reliability of the Data Center and maintain uptime.

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• At least 4 years of Data Center Hands & Feet or similar experience
• This role may involve elevated access to Impact Level 4 (IL4) data and/or security requirements for handling controlled unclassified information (CUI) and sensitive data as defined by US Department of Defense (DoD). The eligible candidates must be US Citizens.
Primary Expertise:
• Serve as primary onsite support for datacenter hardware installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and decommissioning of servers, storage, and network devices.
• Perform physical racking, stacking, cabling, and labeling of equipment in accordance with company and industry best practices.
• Conduct routine infrastructure health checks, environmental monitoring (power, cooling, humidity), and escalate issues as needed.
• Respond to and resolve hardware alerts, service tickets, and emergency requests with minimal supervision, adhering to defined SLAs.
• Coordinate with remote engineering, network, and operations teams to execute Handson tasks and support change management activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, asset tracking, and documentation for all datacenter hardware and consumables.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols, access controls, and safety standards within the datacenter environment.
Participate in on call rotation and provide afterhours/weekend support as required.
• Mentor junior staff, share technical expertise, and contribute to continuous improvement of datacenter processes and procedures.

• Good to have experience with specific Hardware vendor: Cisco, Dell
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
