We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to drive innovation and excellence within our retail domain. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to analyze data, enhance systems, and drive process improvements using technology.
Process Improvement & Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize productivity; Participate in root cause analysis for product performance and continuously refine business strategies.

System Development & Integration: Work closely with IT teams to design, implement, and enhance systems for retail planning and allocation; Ensure that systems align with business goals, scalability requirements, and industry best practices; Integrate planning and allocation systems with ERP, POS, and inventory management platforms for a seamless IT infrastructure.
Technical Support & Issue Resolution: Prioritize support needs for business users and provide first-level system/IT support for planning and allocation issues; Resolve requirements and design issues or offer recommendations and solutions.
Business Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a resource with business and industry knowledge to define customer requirements and objectives; Champion the needs of customers and business stakeholders, ensuring project outcomes align with business objectives; Collaborate with merchandising and planning teams to understand business requirements for effective inventory planning and allocation.
Documentation & Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, customizations, and processes; Update documentation to reflect system changes and enhancements; Train and support end-users on new functionalities to ensure smooth system operations.
Project Management & Reporting: Manage change requests and ensure project milestones are met within deadlines; Communicate weekly status updates, addressing risks, dependencies, and resource needs; Attend key internal and external meetings, providing actionable insights based on discussions.
Data Analysis & Forecasting: Utilize data analysis tools to interpret retail trends, inventory levels, and product performance;
Develop and configure algorithms to optimize inventory planning and allocation.
System Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct system testing and collaborate with QA teams to ensure accuracy and reliability; Develop and execute test plans to validate planning and allocation systems.
Work Flexibility & Travel: International travel may likely be required; Ability to work outside standard U.S. business hours as needed.

Locations for this position are Mexico hybrid mode
Qualifications Basic
  • Bachelor's Degree (Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field) or equivalent experience.
Mandatory Skillsets:
  • 8+ years of extensive experience in IT industry
  • 5+ years of analytical work in a functional or IT department in a retail environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of retail planning and allocation processes.
  • Knowledge of retail-specific software and systems (e.g. Anaplan, Blue yonder Allocation tool).Anaplan model building knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge of sprint planning systems like JIRA to follow agile methodology and the software development life cycle.
  • Strong analytic skills and ability to synthesize large datasets into meaningful insights; including identifying key trends in data and reconciling data across various sources.
  • Blend strong business acumen, technical problem solving and agile execution.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
  • Ability to work independently and jointly in unstructured environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in various phases of ideation, execution, or delivery.
  • Understanding of how to interpret customer business needs.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation skills with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying business opportunities and driving solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Good understanding of IT practices and methodologies.
Good to have
  • Knowledge of the data / analytics infrastructure industry.
  • Reasonable retail domain or e-commerce experience.
  • Anaplan model building knowledge.
  • Solid knowledge of business processes and best practices for retail inventory management.
  • Hands-on experience with planning and allocation software, ERP, POS, and analytics tools.
  • Proven experience in business analysis and program development in retail planning & allocation.
Other Relevant Experience
  • Experience in software development life cycle including agile. Participates in implementations of new systems or modifications to existing systems to meet Information Systems and client business requirements.
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
