Our Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) practice delivers innovative solutions across power, gas, and renewables markets, helping clients navigate regulatory changes and market complexities.
We are seeking a business analyst with expertise in GAS/Power trading to contribute to key projects involving optimization, deal valuation, ancillary services, trade entry, and exchange operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with system operators, which will be a significant advantage.
Required Experience/Skills
- A broad business skill set including stakeholder management, problem-solving, and resilience
- Experience in gathering, validating, synthesizing, documenting, and communicating data and information for a range of audiences
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication skills, project-related mobility/willingness to travel
- Ability to undertake business process analysis, requirements gathering, data analysis, documentation as a vital link between organization's business objectives and its information technology capacity.
- Ability to analyze business needs, identify areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Can lead and contribute to application changes in Gas/Power trading & dispatch systems, ensuring alignment with market regulations and business objectives.
- Can provide expertise in optimization & scheduling, including day-ahead and intraday trading strategies.
- Experience in working on ancillary services, ensuring compliance with market structures and leveraging automation for efficiency improvements.
- Can support trade entry and GAS/Power exchange operations, enhancing system integrations and automation.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, including traders, dispatchers, and IT teams, to refine business requirements and implement best-in-class solutions.
