Azure Data Engineer with Python & SQL experience

Infosys is seeking an Azure Data Engineer. In the role of Azure Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain data processing systems using Azure, Python and SQL. You'll collaborate with Product Owners, Data engineers, Analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions in an entrepreneurial culture where teamwork is encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with experience design, business execution, digital analytics, and digital technology stakeholders to design, specify, and perform quality testing.
  • Participant in the software development and experience in full life cycle.
  • Expert in the technologies used to manage digital customer data for segmentation and for analytics.
  • Need to understand the first- and third-party data required to describe the customer and the customer's activities across their interactions for purposes of segmentation definition to enable contextual marketing and personalization.
  • Defines data collection activities for projects that create or modify customer facing digital experiences, including app and web. This includes analysis of what needs to be measured; definition of new metrics and dimensions including prescribing values for those metrics and dimensions; creation of technical documentation for developers and authors to enable the collection of data; and execution of quality assurance activities to validate that the data is being produced and captured per the design.
  • Strong data/tech writing skills including the ability to write Analytics requirements concisely and clearly for audiences ranging from business stakeholders to technical developers.
  • Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines and be simultaneously customer oriented and process oriented.
  • Possesses demonstrable analytical skills with ability to identify/analyze/synthesize business needs into business requirements and can then translate those business requirements into technical data collection requirements for developers.

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Kansas City, KS or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
  • At least 2 years of Information Technology experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in Azure
  • At least 2 years of experience in Python & SQL
  • Strong knowledge of modern data warehouse architecture and data modeling

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
