Introduction

  • Monitor and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and working of network security tools .
  • Assist in configuring and troubleshooting firewall rules, VPNs, and security policies.
  • Conduct basic security monitoring, review logs, and escalate incidents as needed.
  • Support network security assessments by identifying threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in handling security incidents, investigating alerts, and responding to threats.
  • Work with the IT team to ensure network security best practices are followed.
  • Support endpoint security solutions such as antivirus, EDR, and patch management.
  • Document network security configurations, incidents, and resolutions.

Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled Network Security Analyst with 2-3 years of hands-on experience in managing and securing enterprise networks, with a strong emphasis on Guardicore Solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in monitoring, configuring, and supporting security tools and processes to ensure robust protection of network and endpoint environments.

  • Monitor and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network security tools to ensure optimal operation and protection.
  • Assist in configuring and troubleshooting firewall rules, VPNs, and security policies.
  • Conduct basic security monitoring, analyze logs, and escalate incidents as appropriate.
  • Support network security assessments by identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Assist in incident handling by investigating alerts, identifying root causes, and responding to threats.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure network security best practices are implemented and maintained.
  • Support and maintain endpoint security solutions including antivirus, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), and patch management tools.
  • Maintain documentation for network security configurations, incident reports, and resolution steps.

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

  • 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience working with Guardicore Solution (now Akamai Guardicore Segmentation), including implementation, policy management, and monitoring.
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network access controls.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, routing, and segmentation.
  • Experience with endpoint protection platforms and security patching practices.
  • Understanding of incident response procedures and threat mitigation strategies.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and document technical processes.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Experience with SIEM tools for log analysis and alerting.
  • Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA Security, or similar.
  • Basic scripting or automation knowledge (PowerShell, Python) for security operations.
