Optics Technician (Apprentice Conversion)

Your role and responsibilities

Candidate will work in a lab supporting the qualification, testing, debug of multiple optics used in Z mainframes. You will use various scopes, evaluation board, etc. as part of your role, you will need to document results and report findings to the engineering and management teams

Required education

High School Diploma/GED

Preferred education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

Successful completion of the IBM Apprenticeship Program

Use of oscilloscopes
Soldering irons
Good communication skills

Preferred technical and professional experience

Ability to write test plans and document results
