As an OMS Senior Consultant, you will be applying your expertise on the OMS and associated products (including IBM Sterling Call Center, IBM Sterling Store, Sterling Intelligent Promising) to design and develop simple to complex modules. Based on your expertise and experience, you may be required to lead a team with development activities to meet the project schedule.

Your role and responsibilities

As an OMS Senior Consultant, you will:

  • Be a trusted Advisor of the Customer on IBM Maximo.
  • Have the ability to influence decision makers on technical feasibility.
  • Implement solutions within defined architectural guardrails, principles and framework.
  • Design and develop modules (customization and configuration) for OMS and associated products (IBM Sterling Call Center, IBM Sterling Store and IBM Sterling Intelligent Promising)
  • Develop POCs for complex modules
  • Coordinate with the onsite and client teams
  • Lead teams of about 5 members with the development activities to adhere to the project schedule
  • Perform design and code reviews
  • Define and drive the QA processes (like design standards, coding standards, etc.)
  • Travel to client site to support the validation phase as required

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

  • 9 to 12 years of relevant experience in designing and developing (hands-on experience) using Sterling OMS, IBM Sterling Call Center, IBM Sterling Store, IBM Sterling Intelligent Promising
  • Should have been a part of at least four end-to-end implementations in Sterling OMS
  • Hands-on experience in Java, XML, XSLT, J2EE, JavaScript, Oracle/DB2, WebSphere/WebLogic, MQ
  • Readiness to travel
  • Excellent communication, people management and leadership skills
  • Ability to pick up and learn technical features in upcoming Sterling OMS and associated product releases
  • Able to guide a team of lesser experienced professionals

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Experience in DevOps activities pertaining to OMS implementations
  • Experience implementing OMS on AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
  • Experience in OMS Performance tuning and testing
  • Sterling OMS Certified
  • Good understanding of Microservices architecture and cloud technologies
