Introduction
As a HR Business Development professional based at IBM Hursley, UK, you will focus on executing individual and teams objectives including tasks to support deal pursuits and integration teams within acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic outsourcing transactions. You will work closely with HRBD Consultants and Deal Leads to provide essential support in developing effective HR terms and solutions that contribute to business success. This role involves foundational-level responsibilities aimed at building your expertise while contributing to team and organizational objectives.
Your role and responsibilities
- Support and execute specific aspects of HR solutions and transition plans related to outsourcing contracts, repatriations, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Provide deal analytics and build employee data files for execution across various HR systems such as SuccessFactors, Avature, Kenexa/Brassring, Blue Pages, and Payroll.
- Track and monitor employee data loads, generate reports, and ensure timely execution of integration-related payments.
- Collaborate actively with HR Business Development Consultants and Deal Leads to deliver ad hoc project deliverables.
- Demonstrate knowledge of key HR systems, tools, processes, and feeds relevant to deal execution.
- Actively contribute to integration activities by providing timely and accurate service/support, raising issues that may impact employee data feeds or workflows.
- Apply basic understanding of labor laws, IBM policies, and HR programs applicable in the UKI to support deal-related activities.
- Maintain resourcefulness in using workplace tools and project management tools including Your Insight, Workforce360, Monday.com and other HRBD-specific technologies.
- Exhibit growth mindset by seeking feedback, learning continuously, and generating ideas to improve processes.
- Collaborate effectively within the team, sharing expertise and supporting collective success aligned with IBM's mission.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Internship or entry-level experience in HR, business development, or M&A is required. Basic understanding of acquisition and strategic outsourcing processes and terminology
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, demonstrated resourcefulness, accountability, and a positive attitude toward challenges and continuous improvement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and research skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage assigned tasks independently with supervision.
- Familiarity with financial concepts impacting deals and ability to perform basic financial modeling and data analysis.
- Knowledge of UKI labor laws.
- Proficiency in using collaboration and communication tools; willingness to adopt new technology.
