• In-depth understanding of DS8000 series architecture, features, and functionality.
• Strong understanding of core storage concepts and proven experience in storage migration.
• Knowledge of IBM Power Systems servers, specifically their role as controllers within the DS8000 series.
• Proficiency with IBM DS Storage Manager, DS CLI, and DS Open API.
• Solid understanding of data protection concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex storage issues effectively and work collaboratively with vendor support.
• Proven ability to optimize storage performance for various workloads.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex storage challenges.
• Total Experience: 12+ years in IT infrastructure with a focus on storage.
• Relevant Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience with IBM DS8000 series storage systems.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Familiarity with other IBM Storage Solutions (umbrella).
• Understanding of broader cloud storage and virtualization concepts.
• Experience with scripting or automation for storage tasks.
• Relevant IBM certifications.
