We are seeking a seasoned IBM Maximo/MAS Administrator with at least 8 years of hands-on experience managing IBM Maximo and Maximo Application Suite (MAS) environments. This role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise in Maximo administration, proven experience in Maximo-to-MAS migrations, and familiarity with modern deployment models including Kubernetes and containerized infrastructure.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong troubleshooting skills, a solid background in Db2 or other enterprise databases, and a collaborative mindset to work closely with development and operations teams.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 rotational support for Maximo/MAS environments, ensuring stability and uptime.
  • Administer, configure, and maintain IBM Maximo and MAS environments to meet operational requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in coordination with developers and infrastructure teams.
  • Manage and optimize database performance, with a focus on Db2, as well as Oracle or SQL Server where applicable.
  • Lead Maximo to MAS migration projects, ensuring smooth and efficient transitions with minimal downtime.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain MAS components within Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Monitor and ensure system performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices in accordance with enterprise standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage integrations with third-party systems.
  • Automate administrative tasks through scripting and DevOps practices.
  • Manage patching and upgrading cycles to maintain platform currency and compliance.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Maximo and Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
  • Strong knowledge of Maximo architecture, configuration, and system administration.
  • Proven experience with Maximo to MAS migrations.
  • Proficiency in working with relational databases such as Db2, Oracle, or SQL Server.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized application management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across applications and infrastructure layers.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles is a plus.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Shell, Python, Ansible).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and highly available environment.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • IBM Maximo or MAS certifications are an asset.
  • Knowledge of middleware technologies and integration frameworks.
