Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Db2 Administrator with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Linux, strong scripting skills, and knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus. You will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and maintaining our Db2 database environment to ensure data integrity, high performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and manage Db2 databases, including installation, configuration, tuning, and upgrades.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance.
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and disaster recovery.
• Write and maintain scripts to automate database administration tasks and streamline operations.
• Collaborate with development teams to support the integration of Db2 with applications.
• Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards and policies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Db2 technologies and implement best practices in database management.
• 24/7 Rotational Shit, support and operations

Required education

Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Db2 Administrator.
• Good knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or Perl) for automation and task management.
• Good experience with containerized Db2.
• Experience with database tuning, optimization, and query performance analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for Db2.
• Understanding of database security best practices and compliance requirements.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
