Your role and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analytics Engineer with a robust background in Power BI, including expertise in DAX calculations, to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and advanced data visualization techniques. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust data analytics solutions and dashboards using Microsoft's Power BI, enabling strategic data-driven decision-making to our clients.

  • Design, develop, and implement sophisticated data models and ETL processes, semantic models, utilizing DAX calculations where appropriate, to ensure accurate and timely data integration from various sources.
  • Create interactive and insightful data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI, ensuring they meet the needs of our business users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data analytics solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the analytics lifecycle.
  • Leverage strategic vision to guide clients towards actionable insights from their data through Power BI.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize existing analytics solutions and processes for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data analytics, particularly those related to AI usage in reporting solutions.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Fluent English and Dutch or French (written & spoken)
  • Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience as a Data Analytics Engineer or similar role.
  • Proven expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL querying.
  • Advanced proficiency in creating complex data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI, including expert-level DAX calculations.
  • Experience in agile development methodologies and version control systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Certifications in Power BI or other relevant data analytics tools would be highly beneficial.


  • Ability to provide strategic vision to clients, guiding them towards actionable insights with their data through Power BI.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • A Master's degree would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with cloud-based data platforms like Azure or Snowflake is desirable.
