Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you'll be part of a team defining how IBM will evolve one of its core software businesses and how it will differentiate itself in a competitive Hybrid Cloud market. You'll play an important role in helping to define product requirements and strategy, and will work across Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales and Services teams across Software and IBM Cloud to help deliver successful offerings with strong routes to market.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Connecting with customers, prospects and other market stakeholders to identify needs, validate market requirements, quantify opportunities and then translate these into detailed product requirements for development. Experience creating detailed technical requirements in tools like Aha!, and ability to work with Git is essential
• Helping prioritize requirements based on data, to maximize development investments and build an aggressive roadmap
• Supporting senior Product Managers in building offering packages, compelling feature roadmaps, and pricing appropriate to market conditions
• Performing market/competitor analysis to identify (and promote) unique IBM competencies
• Building clear messaging that will fuel sales and marketing assets in support of launching new offerings into the market.
• Maintaining a current understanding of industry and technology trends to ensure IBM maintains a strong vision and future roadmap

Required technical and professional expertise
Successful candidates must have some Product Management experience and demonstrate experience with documenting requirements, use cases, and engaging with customers, partners, and user communities.
