The Occupational Therapy Assistant 2 assists the Registered Occupational Therapist with client related activities and performs delegated procedures commensurate with education and training. All services are initiated and provided under the direction of plan of treatment established by a physician.

The Occupational Therapy Assistant 2 functions as participating team member who contributes to total client care under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Registered Occupational Therapist. Administer treatment program in accordance with the Plan of Care. Teach activities of daily living. Provides training in proper use of prosthetic devices and adaptive equipment. Observes, records and reports to Licensed Registered Occupational therapist of condition changes in the client's condition and level of function, results of testing and responses to therapeutic program. Provides appropriate documentation of services in keeping with Agency policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allies Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Currently licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state which you seek employment.
  • Minimum of one-year current experience within health care community.
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid Driver's License, car insurance and access to an automobile
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sensitivity to cultural diversity
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Home health experience
  • Knowledge with Wellsky/Kinnser
  • Bilingual

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$57,700 - $79,500 per year
