Power and Analog Electronics Engineer

General Description:
Seeking an engineer to test and integrate electronic circuits and equipment, including medium to high-voltage (>600V) switching amplifiers and circuits. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with power electronics (e.g., linear/switching power supplies, transducer drivers, class-D amplifiers, power converters) and analog, logic, and RF circuits. Testing will focus on high-voltage, high-frequency SiC or GaN devices, with opportunities in microwave and mmW circuits.

Essential Duties:
Provide expertise in power electronics design, implementation, and testing.
The testing and integration of custom power electronics with switching frequencies up to 1 MHz, including power supplies, amplifiers, and converters.

Collaborate with lead designers to develop test plans, operate prototype/test equipment, document results, and manage equipment needs.

Required Skills:
Provide expertise in analog and power electronics design
Proficiency in electrical fabrication (e.g., soldering), programming (Matlab, Python, C/C++, LabView), and circuit debugging.
Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, power supply, signal/network/impedance analyzers).
Familiarity with SiC/GaN devices preferred; high-voltage (>1 kV) experience a plus.
Knowledge of switch-mode power electronics, test equipment, digital logic, analog, signal conditioning, and RF circuits.
Skills in wiring, interconnects, and magnetic component design are a plus.

Required Education:
B.S. and 2 years of relevant experience or M.S. degree in electrical engineering. Candidates with different experience levels may be considered for other positions.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to follow protocols to safely operate hazardous equipment.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and access equipment both on the floor and on a ladder.

Special Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain a security clearance is required.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $99,705 - $124,683 + bonus + benefits.
