Are you passionate about crafting compelling proposals and driving business growth? We are looking for a dynamic Proposal Specialist to join our team and help us secure new opportunities both domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive proposals (RFP/RFQ/RFI) to develop business opportunities.
- Provide recommendations to ensure bids and orders are profitable.
- Perform risk reviews and cost estimations under the guidance of experienced professionals.
- Apply established practices and exercise judgment in proposal preparation.
- Pursue initiatives to enhance group effectiveness and boost customer satisfaction.
- Review and analyze customer specifications.
- Coordinate input from other departments to develop bids responsive to customer requirements, utilizing QorusDocs (Proposal Management Tool).
- Simultaneously process information on multiple and varied projects and respond effectively to changes in priorities.
- Write complete proposal documents and revise contract documents, as required.
- Compile data for reporting contract scope, terms, cost, and profitability to management.
- Attend meetings to exchange information and analyze contract requirements.
- Participate in investigating technical problems and establishing procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrences.
- Duties may require domestic or international travel.
- Obtain Risk Review (RR) certification through the organization's provided training modules.
- Prepare the full lifecycle of Risk Review requests associated with proposals through the RR database.
Challenges:
- Requires strong knowledge of the organization's products, understanding of drawings and related documents, and ability to prepare cost estimates.
- Understanding of QorusDocs Proposal Management Tool.
- Interfacing with other groups requires the ability to communicate effectively.
- Work is subject to general overview to ensure quality.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in English, engineering, business, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant role.
- Alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
