Hitachi Energy's Automation and Communication Products is seeking a FMEA facilitator with a focus in Electronics. Our products protect and control transmission of electricity to major metropolitan areas, key industrial infrastructure, and power generation sites, including nuclear power plants, all over the world. Needless to say, reliability is at the very heart of our business. This is an attractive position suitable for candidates interested in a creative job in the field of quality, mechanical, and electrical engineering. In this role you will be part of the Product Development Quality team supporting a wide variety of projects in Automation and Communication Products business. As an FMEA Facilitator, you will collaborate with different stakeholders across the organization to improve quality of products and processes.

How you'll make an impact
- Conduct Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) of new and existing products.
- Facilitate Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) workshops.
- Collaborate with all departments involved in the development of new products or manufacturing process.
- Lead design reviews of products under development phase (mainly: Electronics, Protection Relays and other products) using Design FMEA.
- Ensure high quality of the whole FMEA activity and correct application of the method.
- Coach the development team in FMEA method.
- Consult on R&D projects about quality improvement opportunities.
- Introduce innovative solutions and ideas to improve design and process.
- Share expertise and knowledge between different development sites and projects.
- You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
- Master's degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role.
- Must have practical knowledge of FMEA for electronics.
- Should have experience in Quality Engineering or R&D.
- Willingness to contribute to the entire design process of electronic devices, including definition of requirements, simulation, development of schematics, PCB design, prototyping, testing and verification.
- Competence in design of electronics for industrial or automotive applications.
- Must have practical knowledge of FMEA for electronics.
- Practical knowledge of Reliability Engineering, as well as hardware lifetime testing (ALT and HALT), Design for Manufacturing of Design for Assembly is a plus.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
