As the Q&CI Manager, you will be part of the UK management team for the Grids and Power Quality Solutions business unit at Hitachi Energy.
How you'll make an impact:
- Act as a role model for a strong Quality culture, driving Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
- Drive and support Q&CI Strategy implementation within the UK Operating Unit
- Maintain, manage, and improve our certified Quality Management System (QMS)
- Perform assessments and audits as an input to improving processes
- Lead improvement projects, facilitate lessons learned and best practice sessions, conduct training sessions, and share acquired knowledge within the organisation
- Drive Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) within the organisation and during project execution to ensure compliance with customer, company, and/or regulatory requirements
- Ensure customer feedback is represented within the local business
- Provide training to individuals and teams on Q&CI topics so that they are better equipped to drive the quality and improvement efforts
Your background:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in driving Quality culture, preferably within an Engineering environment
- Knowledge of Quality Management systems, methodologies, and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
- Ability to build, maintain, and influence effective working relationships within a large and complex organisation
- A strong growth mindset and a collaborative approach to leadership
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement frameworks, such as Lean Six Sigma, PDCA, and 8D
