The opportunity

Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. We offer a comprehensive portfolio of Transformers Products, Solutions and Services. Transformers are essential in all electricity-related fields and applications, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil, chemical and gas, industrial manufacturing, semiconductor and data centers, as well as building and transportation sectors.

How you'll make an impact

  • You will coordinate sales, SCM, operation, engineering, quality, service and finance to create company operation rolling forecast and target.
  • You will manage projects and resources in accordance with internal business processes to ensure requirements are effectively delivered across the project cycle of: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and controlling and closure.
  • You will ensure scope is effectively managed, as required in accordance with stakeholders/sponsor's contractual agreement and internal business processes.
  • You will ensure all activities and resources are effectively planned and managed to meet project deliverables.
  • You will ensure proper and effective financial control of projects to meet financial control requirements, project deliverables and budget.
  • You will ensure that the planning, assurance and control of quality across products, systems and services is effective to meet project deliverables
  • You will select, manage and develop the project team to effectively meet the project deliverables and team member's personal development plans. Senior project managers or dept. manager may also be required to supervise and guide project managers in a coaching / mentoring role.
  • You will ensure timely and accurate communication to project stakeholders (internal and external) as required.
  • You will ensure effective planning and control of qualitative and quantitative risks to minimize any adverse impact on project costs and deliverables.
  • You will ensure procurement is effectively managed, especially long term material or imported materials, and in accordance with internal business processes and budget.
  • You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • You hold a bachelor degree or above.
  • Min 1-3 years of experience in Project and/or implementation management.
  • Experience of railway business is necessary.
  • Experience working with transformer is highly desirable.
  • Experience working on international projects is preferable.
  • Proven experience of using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) e.g. MS Office) and project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project) is an advantage.
