Production Manager

The position

Production responsible of our tank shop, will be in charge of the manufacturing of the tanks. Leading a team in a production environment, and proactively collaborating with other supporting areas.

Your responsibilities

People

• Manage and develop shift managers to establish a culture of manufacturing excellence.
• Lead and motivate the team in pursuit of a high-performance culture.
• Ensure the competence of personnel to achieve production objectives.
• Lead first level meetings, ensuring compliance with agreed actions.
• Performance management of team members by performing evaluations and guiding them to achieve established objectives.
• Definition and management of staff responsibilities within their area of competence.

• Lead a positive work environment to improve safety.
• Comply and enforce compliance with health, safety and environment rules and prevention activities.
• Ensuring safe operations and compliance with standards.
• Ensure recording, reporting and investigation of security incidents.

• Lead a positive work environment to improve quality.
• Lead and actively participate in the development of 5S.
• Actively participate with the quality department in product quality assurance.

• Lead a positive work environment to comply with delivery and cost commitment.
• Preparation of work schedule, shifts and work teams.
• Improve factory performance by identifying and solving problems at their root causes.
• Serve as a liaison between Engineering and Production to address manufacturing issues and constraints.
• Accountable for the equipment efficiency, define and supervise the corrective and preventive maintenance plan, with the maintenance manager.
• Definition and management of production stoppages.
• Notification and escalation of incidents affecting the normal production rate.
• Use lean manufacturing techniques to achieve productivity and efficiency objectives.
• Identify and develop improvements and investments to optimize processes.

• Degree in Engineering (industrial specialties).
• Management experience in similar role (more than 3 years)
• Fluent in English.
• MS Office
• ERP (SAP like preferable option). Good to have
• Lean manufacturing knowledge.
• Training in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Suppliers management.
