Product Testing Group Lead

Krakow, Poland

The Product Testing group leader will be heavily involved in QA aspects during analysis, design, testing, and deployment phases of Enterprise Software Solutions (ESS) applications delivery.

Product QA lead's primary responsibility is to assure that all products' test phases and scope are designed and executed according to schedule, to yield a high-quality product that is compliant with gate and technical specifications.

Key Activities:

  • Provides necessary definition, development, and deployment of the ESS product quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of product development.
  • Directly supervises Quality Assurance aspects including test automation activities within the delivery teams.
  • Reports to Delivery team manager and functionally to Global Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Manages overall expectations pertaining to setting accurate test execution, defect fixes, gate entry and exit criteria of the delivery sprint team.
  • Ensures delivery against QA department goals and objectives, i.e., meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance testing schedule, test phase gates, and test phase execution and reporting.
  • Enforces Automation first approach and is responsible for creating and executing test automation scripts within the delivery team.
  • Maintains product consistency throughout product cycle, to include the test design, test scope and coverage, and build phases through quality checkpoints and testing.
  • Develops and manages quality assurance metrics for performance improvement of all teams.
  • Implements ongoing quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental delivery teams.
  • Manages the planning and execution of product testing efforts, including all associated resources to meet committed delivery dates.
  • Provides effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives, and performance to plan.
  • Works with Project Managers to develop project schedules and resource allocation models for QA related projects and other activities such as software deployment, customer integration, and professional services validation.
  • Responsible and Accountable for flagging the timing of interdepartmental deliverables and the quality of their output.
  • Manages and responds to Software Quality Assurance issues with related groups such as Development and Customer Support.
  • Assures the viability, functionality, and effectiveness of essential tools.
  • Anticipates program release problems and takes corrective action, escalating as needed, to resolve and achieve commitments.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.


  • Minimum of 11 years of software quality assurance experience, including at least 4 years in a lead role or management position.
  • Must have hands on experience in test automation (python, C#)
  • Experience with micro-service distributed software will be a big plus
  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies will be a plus.
  • Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Keycloak, Docker, Swagger, as well as JSON, REST, Protobuf, Avro
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Software Quality Assurance metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria.
  • Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication, and project management skills a must.
  • Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.
  • Must have a desire to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
  • Strong understanding of different software development life cycles, and contemporary software quality assurance testing practices and automated testing tools.
  • Must have experience in Agile
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication
