HSE Technician 2nd Shift
Are you passionate about creating safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplaces? At Hitachi Energy, we're looking for a proactive and people-focused HSE Field Technician to join our team. This is a boots-on-the-ground role where you'll be a visible presence on the shop floor-coaching, advising, and driving a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. You'll play a key role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and safely, while making a real impact on the well-being of our team and the environment.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Monitor daily operations to ensure HSE procedures are followed.
- Coach and support supervisors in applying HSE best practices.
- Represent the HSE function in Tier 2 meetings.
- Conduct audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.
- Support incident investigations and corrective action planning.
- Collect environmental samples (air, water, waste) for compliance.
- Promote safety awareness through training and engagement activities.
- Help drive continuous improvement in HSE systems and culture.
Your Background
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with HSE responsibilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and behavior-based safety programs (preferred).
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards is a plus.
