The opportunity
In this role you will be responsible of the R&D team in Power Transformers that is executing the yearly projects as per our Roadmap. You will be managing different teams (in some cases having direct reports from local team leaders) in different locations and your focus will be on making sure that the R&D team is working based on the priorities provided by respective stakeholders, mainly to Power Transformers Technology Manager to whom you would be reporting to.
Candidates will be required to travel up to 20% (globally) based on R&D team's needs.
How you'll make an impact
- Monitor the workload and secure availability of all R&D teams to execute projects in close coordination with local R&D team leaders (in those locations where available).
- Create the right environment for an efficient work among R&D team members based on different locations.
- Interact with Programs Manager and R&D Project Management Office in order to review resources planning as per every year Roadmap.
- Make sure that the R&D team is dedicated to agreed priorities and that any change on those priorities is properly approved by global Technology Manager.
- Execute workforce plan (hiring needs) with the support of R&D team leaders.
- Lead the development and support career path of R&D team.
- Support preparation of annual and multi-year budget specially in terms of hourly rate from each R&D team.

Your background
- Successful study (Bachelor or Masters) in Engineering or similar.
- Not less than 5 years of professional experience in team management, preferably related to large R&D organizations.
- Project Management experience will be an advantage.
- Knowledge in Transformers will be an advantage.
- Willing to work in a remote and diverse environment.
- Willingness to travel to meet R&D teams when needed.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent English.
