We are now looking for a Country Controller/Real Estate Controller at Hitachi Energy in Vaasa, Finland. In this challenging role, your focus will be on business and project controlling for our Local Corporate Functions as well as future Finnish Real Estate unit, combined with support in different real estate initiatives. You will be concentrating on providing our Real Estate Projects with financial support and guidance. Your responsibilities
- Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Create variance analysis reports and financial models.
- Project controlling, including monitoring cost development, create analysis reports and financial models, recommending actions to reduce cost, identify risks and improvements.
- Cost center, including support to cost center owners and project managers, monitoring cost development, analyzing cost structures, recommending actions to reduce cost, identify risks and improvements.
- Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports to managers.
- Collaboration with members of the real estate, accounting and finance community.
- Provide support of special initiatives (FM contract, interface to business, IFRS setup, new policies, regulations, portfolio review data, etc.).
- Develop country specific, cross functional analysis and reporting.
- Produce monthly reports which show progress to date, progress in period, key blockers, risks and issues and clear action / intervention plans.
- Support and coordinate change control processes.
- Manage/support CIMT (investment tool) requests.
- Follow up with internal clients on approval of change control notes, invoices, CIMT approvals etc.
- Support Project Manager in terms of financial analysis.
- Storing project data properly and ensure use of standard templates, information etc. across all similar projects.
- Ensure transparent and reliable financial data quality and reporting, following internal guidelines and in accordance with IFRS.

Your background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration or other Finance related field
- Experience in financial controlling.
- Real Estate experience is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (complex formula, pivots, modelling).
- Good knowledge of SAP.
- Fluency in written and spoken Finnish and English.
- Structured thinking and flair for numbers.
- Team spirit and excellent communication skills.
