The opportunity:
The PGGI Energy System Project Manager leads the execution of projects and ensures that all related activities are performed in accordance with company policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments. Supports the organization in process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution.
How you'll make an impact:
- You will define, jointly with the Project Controls department, all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans.
- You will ensure that all planning activities (including scope and financial plans, schedules and risk management plans) are performed properly by the assigned project team(s), ensure that the project follows execution best practices and Hitachi Energy policies, productively monitor, control project progress and efficient resource utilization.
- You will monitor and control project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow. You will identify, qualify, quantify, manage risk, and ensure that all opportunities are identified and pursued.
- You will capture, analyze and share lessons learned throughout the project, ensure that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed, drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer.
- You will ensure that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with Hitachi Energy policies and contractual agreements, coordinate with Supply Chain Management, successfully procure required services, materials and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers, support Supply Chain Management in negotiations, claims and project changes.
- You will act as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues, build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicates with all stakeholders.
- You will ensure the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
- You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your background:
- You hold a bachelor's degree in electrical (preferable) or other engineering field.
- Fresh graduate or 2 to 3 years of experience in project management of small-medium size projects.
- Experience in managing projects under different contractual models, good knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Flexibility, teamwork skills, result orientation, proactive and highly organized.
- Excellent command and fluency in the English language.
