GXO is currently seeking a talented and driven individual for the role of Transport Compliance Manager, to work at our busy TJX site in Crewe. You will fully support the TJX contract with the day-to-day legal compliance including major incident investigation, implementation of new processes to support bridge strike and UVM prevention, compliance support audits, training of compliance systems and site visits, ensuring the contract meets all earned recognition requirements and legal compliance. Whilst also making sure all assets and drivers are operating within legal parameters and ensuring the fleet is tracked and reported accurately.

The role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. However, some flexibility will be required during peak times - this is logistics after all!

What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Managing the planning, execution and future monitoring related to all legal requirements of our 'O' licence obligation, this includes the planning of service and MOT provision, supporting deflect resolution and the speedy return of any VOR'd assets
  • Responsible for the internal auditing processes and carrying out annual transport audits for vehicles in their assigned fleet and regular remote reviews to ensure compliance levels are maintained
  • Implement, monitor and follow legal compliance throughout the site, and with your colleagues, sharing best practise between sites and making sure tasks are completed in line with the annual compliance audit
  • Review the sites compliance procedures and processes to strive for Continuous Improvement, implementing ideas and be able to set out action plans to ensure the smooth implementation of change to the site

What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Demonstrable experience within a similar role, managing and leading the compliance of a large, fast paced, multi-site transport operation
  • Able to positively manage and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • International CPC qualification
  • IT literate with experience of compliance systems and MS office, in particular Microsoft Excel
